This August, Maples marked an incredible milestone—our 30th anniversary! To mark the occasion, we held a special celebration event to thank our amazing staff for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to making a difference in the lives of our service users.
Highlights from the Event
Art Activity with a Local Touch
Our celebration was packed with exciting activities, and one of the biggest highlights was a collaborative art workshop. Bristol-based artist Luke Palmer, known for his vibrant and energetic style, led the session. Each person decorated a square, and when we put them together, they formed a stunning piece of art. This beautiful creation now hangs proudly in our Verona office. A huge thank you to Luke for sharing his creativity and enthusiasm! You can check out his work on Instagram here!
Celebrating Nature
We held the celebration at Grow Wilder, a beautiful space run by the Avon Wildlife Trust. Their mission focuses on restoring wildlife and inspiring people to take action for nature. The setting was the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Find out more about Grow Wilder here.
To match the natural theme, we served a fully vegan menu prepared by Two Trees Catering, a fantastic local Bristol-based company. Their delicious food was a hit!
Inspirational and Educational Talks
Our event also featured engaging talks on the power of nature, offering fresh perspectives and inspiration. It was a meaningful reminder of the connection between the environment and the compassionate care we provide every day.
Celebrating the Rebrand
The celebration marked the official launch of our new brand, symbolising 30 years of growth, diversity, and our vision for the future. The rebrand celebrates the unique journey Maples has undertaken and the exciting path that lies ahead.
A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
Our photo competition was a great showcase of the creativity from our staff, with staff capturing special moments from the celebration. Shortlisted photos were shared at our Community Event, where service users voted for their favorite. A huge congratulations to Julie, whose photo was chosen as the winner!
A Huge Thank You
This celebration would not have been possible without the incredible efforts of our team. Special thanks go to Anita and Pav for ensuring everyone could join us, to our Luke for running the creative workshop, and for Ben our CEO and Brond, who did a fantastic job at organising the event!
