Maples Milestones

“we have a fantastic service to offer here at maples and it’s my job to showcase this to professionals and users”

It’s the New Year, which means it’s time to take a look back on the year and reflect on how much we’ve grown as a company. So let’s take a look back at the Highlights of last year

New growth

This year marked a huge steppingstone for Maples In July, we moved into our new offices at Verona House, where our Compass Team Manager glammed up our Verona office with some greenery.

The main goal for our Verona offices if for it to become a Training Academy, with the aim of improving our training for staff, as well as offering training to the general public. We’ve already taken huge steps in this direction, hiring a Learning and Development lead. We asked our new Learning and Development lead about his role and the vision for Maples to become a training hub.

Celebrating the hard work of our staff

We enhanced our employee benefits package. New incentives include Early Pay and a Refer a Friend Bonus. In addition, we offer Wedding and Civil Partnership Support, Pet Bereavement Day, and a Blue Light Card. Moreover, we provide Emergency Hospital Support, Crisis Loans, Company Sick Pay Rollover, and a Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme. HR also introduced Welcome Boxes for new starters.

This year, we received a record number of referrals. We achieved a 93.5% success rate for all new placements made last year. Our Compass team worked hard. Improved assessment processes and dedicated care and support teams drove our success.

At The Park, operations now run at capacity. In addition, we successfully transitioned five service users into our supported accommodation provision. The South Bristol division has more than doubled its provision.

Learning more about Maples

We had the absolute pleasure of getting to know and interviewing some of the fantastic staff that work at Maples.

We spoke to Russel Freeman about his experience at Maples as a support worker and how he has developed his role to include his passion in life, music. We sat down with Nigel to find out how he uses his knowledge to help empower our service users in their journey to recovery and we spoke to Tiff about her role and why she feels Maples is a valuable place to work.
